We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Deputy Sheriff in Murray County. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will play a critical role in maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and upholding the laws of the land.
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for investigating crimes, interviewing witnesses and suspects, gathering evidence, and making arrests when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations into reported crimes, including collecting and analyzing evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and preparing detailed reports.
- Respond to emergency calls, provide backup support to other officers, and participate in high-risk situations as required.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, and ensure that all paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies, social services, and community organizations to address complex issues and improve public safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a valid Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training Board (POST) certification, as well as a valid driver's license. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $28.23 - 36.69 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
