Janitorial Specialist

Tactical Air Support is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in janitorial work and be able to perform a variety of tasks, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, as well as cleaning lavatories and restrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of facilities, including offices, industrial buildings, and rest areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, wax, or buff floors.
• Remove refuse and recyclables.
• Clean lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of relevant janitorial work experience.
• Experience with daily cleaning and maintaining designated spaces.
• Must have experience with floor buffers, carpet shampooers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Must have experience with using cleaning supplies, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Valid state driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Knowledgeable of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Background in handling, mixing, and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Monitoring and reporting necessary domestic repairs and replacements.
• Reporting needs and concerns to appropriate staff.

Work Environment:

• Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate, and electrical shock or trip hazards.
• May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
• Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
• Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
• Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
