Nurses Etc Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at a reputable medical facility. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on the collection of blood donations in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood donations from donors in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure accurate and precise blood collection procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Certificate or high school equivalent and completion of a donor Phlebotomy program accredited by The Joint Commission or CAP.
- Current certification in one of the following: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy at an accredited blood donor center or laboratory.
- Certification/registration as a Phlebotomy Technician, Donor Phlebotomy Technician or equivalent by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Medical Technologists (AMT) or other agency approved by the Assistant Secretary Defense (Health Affairs), ASD(HA).
