Assembler Responsibilities- Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
- Assembles component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality, utilizing hand and power tools.
- Uses inspection equipment to verify the quality of assembled parts and components.
- Fits, trims, aligns, and adjusts parts and components to ensure proper fitment.
- Attaches hardware and seals assembly to ensure durability and reliability.
- Solders, lugs, routes, and ties electrical components to ensure proper electrical connections.
- Calibrates units according to specification to ensure optimal performance.
- Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies to ensure smooth operation.
- Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Performs inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
- Crates, packs, and moves finished goods to ensure timely delivery.
- Reports lot codes of components used in assemblies and records assemblies built to ensure accurate tracking.
- Disassembles and replaces parts as required to ensure optimal performance.
- Reworks, repairs, or replaces faulty component parts to ensure quality standards.
- Enters information into established computer system, production records, logs, time clock, and other forms to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Assists in staging parts for painting to ensure timely completion.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.
- Performs specialized functions in the assembly of electrical or electro-mechanical parts, assembly groups, and arrangements to build primary truck products or paint equipment components.
- Works with electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, sketches, or written/verbal directions to ensure accurate assembly.
- Assembles component parts, utilizing appropriate hand tools, to ensure quality standards.
- Performs striping truck set up functions and initial calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspects and tests completed component assemblies and diagnoses malfunctions and makes necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards.
