Join our dedicated team at Lake Forest Animal Clinic as a full-time or part-time Patient Care Coordinator. This role requires a commitment to work on weekends, with additional pay for Sunday shifts.
Location:
Lake Forest, CA
Clinic Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7 am - 6 pm; Saturdays: 8 am - 4 pm; Sundays: 8 am - 4 pm (Urgent Care Hours coming soon).
Compensation:
Starting at $19.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Ensure smooth operations by guiding support staff throughout shifts.
- Mentor team members to foster professional growth and development.
- Provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding their pets' needs.
- Accurately document all relevant medical and client information.
- Review medical records and provide clients with clear discharge instructions.
- Address client inquiries regarding animal care and direct them to veterinarians as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in various veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, and patient handling.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in administering SQ injections and monitoring anesthesia.
- Knowledge of common medications, their dosages, and potential side effects.
- Capability to monitor surgical patients and alert veterinarians to any changes in condition.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with pets and their owners.
