Job Summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our financial operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of disbursements, managing a team of professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations Management: Direct the Accounts Payable team to provide accurate and timely processing of disbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the hiring, training, assigning, counseling, disciplining, terminating, and directing of staff, as well as perform annual merit reviews in a timely manner.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interact with upper management and external customers on a regular basis to integrate solutions that meet the company's goals both financially and operationally.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish, enforce, monitor, and update internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect the company's assets, comply with regulatory requirements, and meet the demands of business growth.
  • Process Improvement: Improve AP procedures, processes, and staff productivity by monitoring department metrics against published benchmarks and assessing against AP best practices.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee the integrity of the Accounts Payable vendor master files, including proper controls around new vendor setup and maintenance.
  • 1099 Compliance: Ensure the proper identification of 1099 vendors and accurate and timely reporting as required by the IRS.
