Afternoon Custodial Technician

Job Overview: The Custodial Technician, often referred to as a Janitor, plays a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness and order in designated areas. This position involves executing a variety of cleaning tasks, including scrubbing, sanitizing, and vacuuming, alongside performing maintenance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

• Utilize compressed air to clean equipment
• Conduct scrubbing, sanitizing, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Manage waste disposal, clean spills, replace light bulbs, and maintain water coolers
• Prepare facilities for various events
• Relocate furniture and equipment as necessary
• Engage in outdoor maintenance activities
• Participate in safety initiatives
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks and monitor supply levels
• Operate powered industrial vehicles
• Adhere to instructions and uphold a tidy work environment
• Assist with additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

• Ability to distinguish colors and sizes
• Fundamental understanding of cleaning agents and procedures
• Capability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
• Must be able to understand and follow directions

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, including lifting items weighing up to 90 lbs.

Work Environment: This position involves working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including industrial settings and office spaces, with exposure to diverse environmental conditions.
