Security Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our staff, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and security of hospital staff, patients, and visitors through adherence to department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Drive employees to the Metro outside of regular shuttle runs and make occasional special runs to other facilities to deliver and pick up urgent supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Develop and implement effective security protocols to prevent and respond to security incidents.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- CPR certification within 6 months of hire
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) a plus, but not required
- Minimum of one year of security experience, preferably in a hospital setting
