2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 12pm - 8:30 pm
Compensation: Starting at $19.00/hr + Shift Premium
Position Summary:
We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Assembly Technician to undertake a range of tasks associated with the assembly of our products. This role requires ensuring that all components fit accurately and meet the quality standards of the final product. The technician will be responsible for executing high-level continuous work safely and in accordance with quality expectations. Tasks may vary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repetitive assembly tasks on various production lines according to established standard work procedures.
- Identify quality issues and unsafe conditions while maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings to ascertain dimensions, designs, and materials required for assembly.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments necessary for job completion.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, initiating repair requests as needed.
- Handle loading and unloading tasks, including operating forklifts and hoists.
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders for supplies.
- Perform various tasks such as brazing, soldering, operating machinery, and conducting quality inspections.
- Ensure a safe and organized working environment by following established procedures and regulations.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools including wrenches, sockets, and measuring devices.
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of operational processes.
- Familiarity with computer systems is advantageous.
- Ability to leverage experience and judgment to achieve objectives.
- Capable of identifying and resolving routine issues, with a willingness to learn.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and operate all relevant equipment, including power tools and measuring devices.
- Assemble components by verifying connections for proper fit and securing parts.
- Confirm specifications by measuring completed components.
