Position Overview:
DePaul Senior Living Community is seeking dedicated per diem Personal Care Aides.
Under the supervision of the Supervisor-In-Charge, you will provide essential personal care and support to residents as required.
The compensation for this role is $16.55 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold resident confidentiality and exhibit a compassionate demeanor towards all residents, staff, and visitors.
- Assist residents with bathing, personal hygiene, and grooming.
- Aid residents in selecting clothing and maintaining their garments.
- Remind residents of meal schedules and monitor their attendance.
- Perform daily bed-making and weekly linen changes or as necessary.
- Conduct rounds on each resident at the start and end of each shift.
- Document and report any concerns to the supervisor, including behavioral changes or signs of illness.
- Assist family members, guests, and visitors as needed, including room preparation and welcoming new residents.
- Remind residents of medication schedules.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain scheduled shifts and coordinate time off in advance with the supervisor.
- Carry out housekeeping and laundry duties as scheduled or requested.
- Inspect facility areas and furnishings for wear and damage, submitting maintenance requests as needed.
- Support activity programs as requested.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving role is desired.
- Dependability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
- Required references and a criminal background check must be provided.
- Annual TB screening and Health Assessment must be completed.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

- A positive attitude towards families and visitors, demonstrating patience and tact.
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and resourcefulness in decision-making.
