Job Summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to join our team. As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring molds are repaired and fully functional to optimize quality, mold utilization, and cavitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble molds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Replace worn or broken tooling to maintain mold efficiency.
  • Utilize production monitoring systems to evaluate and continuously improve the mold preventative maintenance program.
  • Properly document all preventative maintenance and mold improvements.
  • Initiate communication and interaction with the Manufacturing Team to maintain full cavitation, utilization, and efficiencies of the molds.
  • Actively participate in spare part analysis to develop cost-efficient levels of spares.
  • Maintain the established minimum inventory of spare components for each mold through coordination with the department Supervisor.
  • Support the team concept by performing multiple functions as assigned by Management.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities to the molds and maintain the customer's assets in peak functional condition.
  • Support the Quality Management System by adhering to the system requirements.
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules, identify and eliminate any safety hazard or concern, and assist in monitoring the quality of work output.
  • Maintain compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Responsible for reporting any problems or concerns to the direct Supervisor.
  • Maintain good working relations with all other employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use a drill press, pedestal grinder, and basic hand tools.
  • Physical skills necessary to utilize mold disassembly, assemble tools, and handle molds.
  • Self-motivated to learn and perform job tasks to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
  • Demonstrates the capacity to work at an efficient rate to meet production goals and standards.
  • Effectively communicates with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, as applicable.
