Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Clean Harbors. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within an industrial work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, VFD's, transformers, generators, and lighting systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment and hand tools as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and general maintenance (as needed) on electrical and mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Work with 480v, 220v, and 110v electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and address electrical issues that may impact production or safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or higher education preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience and/or combination experience and/or education preferred.
  • Experience with 480v, 220v, 110v, and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to work safely and familiar with lockout/tagout procedures.
  • PLC and schematics experience through education and/or professional experience.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work under adverse conditions (heat and cold).
