The Assistant Miller is a critical role in the milling process at Panhandle Milling. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, quality control, and efficient milling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including GMP, HACCP, and Sanitation protocols.
  • Operate transferring equipment and systems safely and efficiently.
  • Sample and analyze milled flour to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform lab analyses and operate analytical instruments.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Climb stairs and ladders to access equipment and storage areas.
Requirements
  • Strong reading comprehension, writing, math, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and process control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, including forklifts.
