Position Overview:
The Asphalt Utility Material Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the safe transfer of materials and unloading processes. This position is essential for maintaining high-quality product delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe unloading of materials from tankers, railcars, and barges.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of plant performance metrics, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate critical information regarding environmental compliance and operational issues.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to quality control procedures.
- Maintain organization through administrative tasks such as data entry and production tracking.
- Operate Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) as required.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote recycling initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at workstations throughout shifts.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma and have some experience in a manufacturing environment. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 pounds. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to learn the responsibilities of the position.
