About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for contributing to various engineering and project documentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare due diligence reports, construction documents, drainage reports, specifications, and construction schedules/estimating.
  • Utilize reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to evaluate soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data.
  • Apply various jurisdictional requirements, including Zoning and Subdivision Regulations, to engineering design.
  • Develop engineering drawings from concept through final construction documents, including Site Layout, Grading/Drainage, Utilities, and Erosion Control Design using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Support zoning, ordinance, permit assessments, and cost estimates to determine project feasibility based on collected data.
  • Provide field observation services as needed, apply engineering knowledge and best practices, and collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
  • Understand and apply client standards, specifications, codes of practice, and risk tolerance, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
