We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Medicine team at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work autonomously, and collaborate with physicians to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, and interpret results as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Mentor and educate students, residents, and other healthcare professionals in Emergency Medicine.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with at least one year in Emergency Medicine.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification.
