The Dietary Cook is responsible for ensuring exceptional standards in food preparation, production, and service, utilizing standardized recipes for all clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the receipt and storage of food and supplies to minimize waste and guarantee quality. Properly date, label, and store items while adhering to safe food handling practices.
  • Review menus, including therapeutic options, recipes, and production sheets prior to meal preparation; accurately prepare and serve diets as planned, ensuring proper portions and special dietary items are included.
  • Follow standardized recipes and special dietary orders, preparing adequate quantities to fulfill all service requirements.
  • Conduct taste tests to ensure food meets standards for appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage the timing of meal and snack preparations to align with service schedules, ensuring timely delivery for patients and customers.
  • Verify tray accuracy concerning diets, preferences, and quality before delivery; serve on the tray line and assist with cart deliveries as needed.
