Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as an After School Program Facilitator for our Operation Hero program at the Armed Services YMCA of The U S A. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and facilitating a 10-week program designed to support military kids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans based on the Operation Hero Facilitator Guide, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for participants.
  • Work closely with the Branch Director to acquire necessary resources and materials for the program.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, weekly reports, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Director to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Embed the YMCA core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty into all aspects of the program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Director to ensure the success of the program.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working with children in a group setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with children preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, approximately 4 hours per week, with a schedule of Mondays 2:15-4:15 PM and Wednesdays 1:15-3:15 PM.
