We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in obtaining high-quality ultrasonic images of the heart and assisting physicians in conducting transesophageal echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

* Obtain two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart, including 2D echocardiograms, 2D Doppler echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms
* Assist physicians in conducting transesophageal echocardiograms
* Obtain pertinent patient data for interpretation by a board-certified cardiologist
* Explain the purpose and duration of testing to patients to alleviate fears
* Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

* Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography or Echo School
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within twelve months of position start date
* Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
