Phlebotomy Specialist

Overview:

This Phlebotomist III Float role at Quest Diagnostics offers a dynamic and diverse work environment where no two days are the same. As a Phlebotomy float, you will have the opportunity to work in various patient centers and meet new people on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
• Coach, mentor, instruct, and be a resource advisor for new employees.
• Travel to additional doctors' offices or patient service center sites when needed.

Requirements:

• Five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a patient service center environment.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
