Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Review and manage patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely payment of claims.
- Insurance Follow-up: Follow up with insurance payers to resolve claim and payment issues.
- Denial Management: Identify and resolve denial trends, underpayments, and overpayments.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit appeal letters and supporting documentation to payers within timely filing guidelines.
- Productivity Standards: Maintain productivity standards for patient account follow-up and ensure work queues are managed and maintained.
- Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, Risk Management, and compliance regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, payers, and internal stakeholders to resolve account issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in patient account management or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Certifications: HIPAA certification preferred.
