Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Cardiology Specialist to join our team at John H. Stroger Junior Hospital of Cook County. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, EFM, and Tech Cert Verification
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of patient records and reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Registered/Active Certification as a Cardiographic Technician or EKG Technician
  • One (1) year of experience as a Cardiographic Technician or EKG Technician
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification obtained through the American Heart Association
  • Must successfully pass an EKG interpretation test
Additional Requirements
  • Government-Issued photo ID required
  • Refer to Unit/Department cost center for certification requirements per unit
  • Physical Exam requirement
  • Vaccinations required: Tdap, Negative TB or Chest X-Ray, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
  • COVID primary vaccine(s) required, booster preferred
  • Background Check required within 12 months of start
