Job Title: Perinatal Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Perinatal Sonographer to join our team at Deaconess. As a Perinatal Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Perinatal Sonographer will perform quality, diagnostic high-risk OB, GYN, and abdominal ultrasounds, as well as perform ultrasounds on patients in a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. The Sonographer will understand processes for reporting routine and STAT exams and transmitting images/EKG's to on-call physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality, diagnostic exams according to protocols established by Perinatologist/Radiologists.
  • Properly coordinate patient medical history and physical conditions with requested exam.
  • Accurately document findings for interpreting physician.
  • Accurately enter exam information into Viewpoint and PACS.
  • Perform EKG's and demonstrate knowledge of transmission and when/how to contact Cardiologist for routine and STAT orders.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound.
  • ARDMS or be ARDMS registry eligible for SPI and OB/GYN within 3 months of hire.
  • Job training with Tri-State Perinatology is required.
  • BLS is required within 6 months of hire.
