Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse at Merit Health Biloxi, you will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Time | Operating Room | On-Call Duties Required
- Evaluate patient requirements, develop care plans, and administer care based on identified needs and physician directives in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Formulate and execute patient education strategies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals to enhance care delivery.
- Accountable for the care provided to patients, as well as for self and colleagues as professional nurses, including the charge nurse, clinical supervisor, unit director, and Chief Nursing Officer.
- Foster productive relationships with medical staff and other healthcare team members, as well as administrative personnel.
- Maintain a collaborative working relationship with ancillary departments and the entire healthcare team.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiently utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Continuously evaluate the quality and effectiveness of care, providing guidance to staff in managing care challenges as needed.
- Oversee unit operations in the absence of the Director or Chief Nursing Officer, collaborating with them as necessary.
- Utilize experience and judgment to strategize and achieve objectives.
Qualifications:
- Current MS RN license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
