About the Role

Allegiance Industries is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including lighting, climate control, security, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and connect electrical systems in manufacturing facilities, waste water treatment plants, and other structures
  • Work with blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience
  • Replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire
  • Collaborate with engineers or engineering technicians to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and make recommendations for improvement or repair
  • Carry personal tools, such as on a waist tool belt, which weighs approximately 30 lbs.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, which may include sweeping work areas, organizing tools and materials, and keeping surfaces clean

Requirements

  • Technical ability: technical and mechanical skills necessary to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Physical fitness and dexterity: many jobs require certain levels of fitness due to the nature of the environment in which the work is performed
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Detail-oriented: have a keen eye for detail in following safety standards and project designs
  • Independence: able to work on assigned tasks by yourself with very little help
  • Reliability and Responsibility: accountable and trusted to show up on time and produce consistent, quality work
  • Positivity: offer support and encouragement to teammates and show pride in yourself and our company
  • Diligence: hardworking and have a great work-ethic
  • Flexibility: able to adapt and change as needed
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful completion of a background and drug screening
  • Ability to detect safety hazards within the building and communicate with appropriate staff as well as follow all mandated safety requirements
