Universal Banker

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving their banking needs, and promoting our products and services.

• Provide personalized service to customers, answering their questions and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to bank policies and procedures.
• Identify and refer customers to relevant banking products and services, such as loans, credit cards, and investment products.
• Collaborate with other branch team members to ensure seamless customer service and resolve complex customer issues.
• Stay up-to-date on bank products and services, as well as industry trends and developments, to provide informed advice and guidance to customers.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail sales, customer service, or telesales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency with internet user-level technology.

• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
• Proven sales and referral ability.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Prolonged use of hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5 lbs. to 30 lbs.
• Ability to read fine print.
• Ability to interact with customers in an open face-to-face work environment.
