Job Opportunity at Hands From The Heart Home Healthcare Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Direct Care Worker/Caregiver. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, ambulation, and feeding.
  • Support and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and sanitizing kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, as well as laundry and grocery shopping.
  • Assist with meal planning and preparation to meet clients' nutritional needs.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfers as specified in the client's care plan.
  • Remind clients to take self-administered medications and assist with light exercise or movements as needed.
  • Observe and report any changes in clients' mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to Hands From The Heart and other necessary parties in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and coworkers.
  • Participate in continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as required.
  • Complete required documentation of services delivered, including time records, promptly.
  • Use equipment and supplies safely and properly.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in home healthcare or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
