Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist II to join our team at UNC Health Care. This role involves performing standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests in polysomnographic testing on patients in the Sleep Disorders Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab.
  2. Perform diagnostic patient testing, including EEG, EMG, NCV, EP, and polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments.
  3. Set up and calibrate equipment, and read and score neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests.
  4. Take patient histories and instruct patients and families on test preparation, pre-test interviews, and follow-up appointments.
Requirements

Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology is required. Registration in one of the following specialty areas is also required: EEG, EP, CNIM, NCV, Polysomnography, or Registered Sleep Technologist.

High School Diploma and two years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures are also acceptable.
