Medical Processing Associate

We are seeking a Full Time Medical Processing Associate to join our Billing & Collections Department in the Carolinas region.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation and basic computer skills are also required for this position.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing billing and collections functions for assigned accounts within a reasonable time frame. This may involve making calls and drafting written documents to resolve issues, as well as monitoring reports on accuracy and timeliness. Documenting actions taken in the AR system is also crucial for maintaining accurate records.
Your responsibilities will include collecting processed amounts in a timely manner, ensuring the accuracy of reports, and maintaining accountability to fellow team members for achieving set goals. You will work closely with the Processing Team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and contribute to the overall success of the department.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Complete billing and collections functions for assigned accounts
- Collect processed amounts within a reasonable time frame
- Making appropriate calls and/or drafting written documents to correct problems
- Monitor and review reports on accuracy, time limits, etc.
- Document actions taken in the AR system for specific problems/accounts
- Be accountable to fellow Processing Team Members for assistance in achieving set goals and objectives.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable mode of transportation for attendance requirements
- Basic Computer Skills
- Effective Communication Skills
- Dependable Attendance
- Good typing and data entry skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Pass a Drug Test
**Preferred Experience:
- At least 6 months of recent experience in home care or medical billing
**Estimated Salary Range:** $12-$15 per hour
