About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, California. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our perioperative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations of patients, including reviews of medical history, laboratory results, and other relevant information.
- Select and administer anesthetics prior to and during surgical or medical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient vital signs and reactions during and after anesthesia, taking prompt action when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures performed and patient conditions.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California) and registration as a nurse with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications required.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements and legal consequences of anesthesia care.
- Ability to exercise professional prerogatives based on sound clinical judgment.
