Job Summary

We are seeking multiple Security Officers to work at the Central Library in downtown Denver. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and staff. You will receive on-the-job training to develop skills and abilities related to the position, including certification in First Aid, CPR, and security procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to library patrons
  • Work collaboratively with library staff to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • One year of experience in security, safety, loss prevention, or law enforcement
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A current Colorado driver's license with a good driving record, or ability to obtain one within one year of hire
