Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Windsor Locks Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for working with children and adolescents. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide comprehensive nursing services to students, including health assessments, medication administration, and health education. You will work closely with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health assessments of students, identifying any potential health concerns or issues
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students, working closely with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide basic nursing care, including medication administration, treatment, and dressing changes
- Assist with emergency first aid and injury management
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to promote healthy habits and behaviors among students

Requirements:
- Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of Connecticut
- Minimum of one year experience working in a school setting or pediatric healthcare environment
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
