Program Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a Program Coordinator - After School Activities to join our team at Rockwood R-6 School District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Site Facilitators in developing a safe and caring environment for out-of-school time programs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage site operations as needed, including attendance tracking for all children.
• Create an encouraging and safe environment for children.
• Model safety measures and interactions with children for staff and communicate effectively to train staff members.
• Assist Facilitators in maintaining and submitting KRONOS as required.
• Direct staff to carry out essential drills as required.
• Assist in implementing accreditation standards.
• Ensure that parents and families are greeted daily and receive accurate information.
• Direct staff in maintaining Adventure Club areas and supplies.
• Obtain 12 hours of annual training.
• Participate in professional growth by attending relevant workshops and conferences.
• Implement activity plans developed by the Facilitator.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. College credit preferred.
3. 2 years' experience working with children in a similar setting is mandatory.
4. Demonstrate ability to supervise staff and implement policies and procedures at the site.
5. Demonstrate ability to assume responsibility, respect confidentiality, and show patience and compassion with school-age children.

What We Offer:

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, offering a flexible schedule with early, late, and weekend hours available. The position also requires the ability to interact with children on their level, including bending, stooping, lifting, and sitting on the floor.
