Position Overview: The role of the driver involves safely operating school buses and vans, ensuring efficient routes for transporting students to and from educational institutions and related events. Key responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to guarantee passenger safety.
  • Conducting thorough checks to ensure the vehicle is empty and all students are accounted for at the end of each trip.
  • Familiarizing oneself with designated routes and stops, as well as understanding which students should board at each location.
  • Maintaining a clean and operational vehicle at all times.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: The position may involve mental and visual stress from prolonged periods of focus. Physical tasks may include lifting light objects and sitting for extended durations.
  • Work Setting: The role is primarily based in a standard office environment, with occasional exposure to a therapeutic setting that may be noisy or stressful.
  • Equipment Utilized: Drivers will use various office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements for transporting students. Specific requirements include:
