Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Plant Health Care Specialist Trainee. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional tree care services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation of integrated pest management programs, including tree and shrub care treatments using spray, tree injection, and soil injection tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed during site visits.
- Mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers to trees and shrubs according to diagnosis, safety procedures, label instructions, and state laws.
- Properly maintain and operate equipment and vehicles, including hand tools, spray agitators, portable spray equipment, and other machinery.
- Complete accurate record-keeping and reporting daily.
- Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day.
- Work as a member of a tree care crew, under the supervision of an Arborist Crew Leader during the off-season.
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors.
- Interest in working outdoors year-round, performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or a related field (or prior experience working in the tree care industry).
