Job Title: SQL Server Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at Mindlance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Transact-SQL (TSQL), with a strong focus on database design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
  • SSRS Development: Develop and maintain SSRS reports for various business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting needs.
  • TSQL Development: Write and optimize complex TSQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation, troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies, performing regular backups and ensuring data restoration capabilities.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce database security measures, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DBA team and cross-functional teams to understand and address database-related requirements, providing technical support and expertise to team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Transact-SQL (TSQL).
  • Experience in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with database security and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions.
  • Experience in Ansible is a plus.
