About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Paradigm Personnel Solutions. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the administration of radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, helping to ease patients' fear and apprehension about radiation therapy.
  • Set up patients properly for accurate delivery of radiation treatment, explaining the process and ensuring patient understanding.
  • Responsible for daily warm-up of treatment machine, including logging and reporting any variations from parameters set by the physicist.
  • Check simulator for proper operation, reporting any issues to the Chief Radiation Therapist and documenting checks.
  • Properly position patients for simulation of treatment area using immobilization devices, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Continuing education as prescribed by JCAHO, and A.R.R.T.
  • Knowledge of department functions, radiation therapy, and ability to explain to nurses, physicians, and the public.
  • Experience in a Radiation Oncology Department is desirable.
