About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of educators dedicated to transforming the lives of urban students. Our science programs are designed to engage students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Teach Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate-level science courses, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences;
  • Foster a culture of scientific discourse and exploration, where students feel confident sharing their ideas and engaging in evidence-based discussions;
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate interactive labs, project-based performance tasks, and student-led inquiry;
  • Analyze student data and adjust instruction to meet the diverse needs of your students;
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), or a related field;
  • Prior experience teaching AP or collegiate-level science courses;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
