Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Arkansas State Hospital in Little Rock, AR. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including private homes, hospitals, clinics, and residential institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' conditions and provide direct care, including administering medications and treatments, changing dressings, and performing other nursing procedures as directed.
  • Document patient information, including vital signs, medication administration, and changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on medical care and self-management techniques.
  • Assist with medical procedures, including injections and oral medications, as directed by physicians.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Arkansas State Nursing Board.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift and position patients, as well as use restraints and aggressive behavior management practices when necessary.
