Key Responsibilities

The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of production operations by coordinating with production, project, and scheduling teams to allocate resources efficiently and ensure timely completion of projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Production Coordination: Collaborate with production, project, and scheduling teams to coordinate production activities and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Schedule Development: Assist in developing production schedules that meet project requirements and take into account factors such as material availability, labor hours, and equipment usage.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor production operations to ensure that they meet quality standards and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management) or equivalent experience at Austal USA or a comparable shipyard.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of planning experience, preferably with division of work scope within modules, across stages of construction, with material and budget allocation responsibilities.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent communication skills.
