Veterinary Technician Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to lead our veterinary healthcare and specialty teams at Thrive Pet Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing coordinating, supervisory, and technical functions in support of our hospital. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies governing flow and clinical practices to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Provide counsel to hospital management on staffing levels and hospital operations.
- Serve as floor manager, responsible for developing efficiency protocols and advising local leadership on corrective actions to improve effectiveness and profitability.
- Supervise veterinary technicians and assistants, formulate job descriptions, and assist in developing and maintaining salary schedules and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, including OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor.
- Experience as a veterinary technician, preferably in a leadership role.
- LVT, RVT, VTS preferred.
- Strong veterinary skill set, including advanced knowledge in anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, digital x-ray, sanitization and sterilization techniques, aseptic techniques, laboratory techniques, veterinary medications and procedures, medical terminology, veterinary equipment, fear-free techniques, and understanding of ICU veterinary medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty medicine.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with challenging clients.
- Knowledge of related federal and state animal health laws and regulations.
