The MRI Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in conducting magnetic resonance imaging procedures to obtain detailed images as requested by healthcare providers, facilitating accurate patient assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts MRI scans on patients across various age groups, modifying scanning settings as necessary
  • Adjusts technical parameters to optimize image quality
  • Employs diverse imaging methodologies, including flare and SAT imaging techniques
  • Selects suitable equipment for imaging tasks
  • Prepares and manages MRI machinery, ensuring proper patient positioning
  • Recognizes anatomical abnormalities and adapts scanning settings accordingly
  • Executes Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats, and MIP imaging
  • Adheres to established protocols while utilizing effective scanning techniques
  • Implements quality control measures for imaging procedures and equipment
  • Initiates and removes IV lines for contrast-enhanced studies
  • Conducts thorough patient screenings prior to MRI examinations
  • Complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related field
  • Registered with the ARRT
  • Preferred one year of experience in a similar role
  • Adheres to professional standards of practice
  • Engagement in Amergis' Competency program
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
