Exercise Physiologist

Job Summary:

The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for conducting a variety of exercise tests on both healthy and clinical populations, establishing exercise interventions and programs based on the data collected. They also deliver movement and educational programs for clients, provide counseling for lifestyle changes, and assist members and patients in adopting and maintaining their exercise programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Interact effectively with clients, members, and patients in the appropriate area of operation.
  
• Select, administer, and interpret the results of standard fitness and clinical testing procedures.
  
• Conduct exercise prescriptions and consultations competently and according to industry guidelines and department standards.
  
• Provide education and consultation to patients, family, and community.
  
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  
• Conduct group exercise classes according to facility standards and guidelines.
  
• Function as an integral member of the healthcare team.
  
• Actively participate in quality assurance and improvement practices for the department and medical center.
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• Certified Medical Exercise Specialist - American Council on Exercise.
  
• Relevant work experience.
  
• Bachelor's degree.
