Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist to support the Product Director Sensors – Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment PD SAI core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of PD SAI and its associated Product Managers and customers.

This position is pending funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and perform work involving project milestones and budgets.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance to program and line managers on interpretation and formation of technical, functional and program management strategies.
  • Progress Review: Review individual project progress, measuring performance and recommending corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost as well as overall program accomplishments.
  • Alternative Action Proposals: Formulate alternative action proposals on the basis of review findings.
  • Documentation: Document and provide results of specific business process re-engineering initiatives and alternative action proposals.
  • Monitoring: Monitor individual project objectives, milestones, and budgets within the overall program objectives.
  • Correspondence: Prepare correspondence relevant to projects/programs.
  • Administrative Functions: Responsible for a variety of administrative, business and operational functions necessary to run a government program(s) efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in or supporting other similar Government programs (10 years of military service can be substituted as relevant experience).
  • Clearance: Must have an active TOP SECRET Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Government Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Industry Knowledge: Past experience working in PD SAI or PEO IEW&S systems / projects.
  • DoD Knowledge: Knowledge of DoD funding process, program office estimate (POE) development, and budget forecasting. Experience with DoD 5000, FAR, DFARS, and AFARS.
