Facility and Location

Our facility is located in Canistota, SD, and we are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients/patients/residents with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.
  2. Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities of clients/patients/residents and develop realistic therapy goals.
  3. Administer appropriate occupational therapy programs and document client/patient/resident information for evaluation.
  4. Provide education to clients/patients/residents to enhance their understanding and improve functional outcomes.
  5. Stay up-to-date with current research and incorporate it into daily treatment.

Requirements

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist. Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
