Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reporting billing information, and providing direct patient care as prescribed. You will also be expected to participate in development and presentation of in-services, supervise support personnel, and perform clinical functions such as screenings, evaluations, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and report billing information to the Director of Occupational Therapy.
  • Provide direct patient care as prescribed, including evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Participate in development and presentation of in-services for the facility.
  • Supervise support personnel in immediate work areas as appropriate.
  • Perform clinical functions such as screenings, evaluations, and treatment planning.
  • Participate in meetings regarding patient care as appropriate.
  • Assist with community education and public relations activities of the facility.
  • Provide education to patient's family and staff on treatment plans and therapy goals.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other staff members in carrying out treatment plans.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certification in accordance with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks without posing a threat to health or safety of self or others.
