Position Overview
Under the supervision of a licensed Nurse, and with a commitment to respecting human dignity, this role involves delivering a range of essential patient care services tailored to the unique needs of our patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
In addition to functioning as an Emergency Care Technician, this position also entails acting as a Patient Access Services Representative. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting professional patient interviews to gather demographic, financial, and biographical information.
  • Managing the registration process for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients.
  • Performing cashier duties, which include collecting patient co-pays at the time of service in the Emergency Department and estimating service costs in outpatient areas.
  • Receiving payments on patient accounts and addressing patient inquiries regarding estimates or outstanding balances.
  • Providing information on payment options and offering assistance with Financial Clearance.

Qualifications
Education: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Current certification as a CNA, EMT, or Paramedic.
  • Enrollment in Parkview's Patient Care Foundations course at the time of hire.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in emergency services or a patient care environment is preferred.
