We are seeking a highly skilled Principal R&D Engineer to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of software products and supporting systems.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.
- Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions.
- Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
- Supervise other team members and own critical roles and responsibilities for product portfolio.
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
- Experience in C++, object-oriented programming, C++11/14 standards, and design patterns.
- Experience in the Linux operating system.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
- Experience with ASIC power grid simulations for IR drop and electromigration analysis or similar computational/simulation methods in mechanical and fluids domain.
- Experience with Python-based software development.
- Experience with understanding fundamental concepts in electronic design at gate level or transistor level.
- Experience with software design and development involving multiple engineers.
