Job Title: Behavior Specialist

At Kids Central, we are seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in determining the needs and services for children who have been referred for the Tier Process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete the Behavior Tool for children who have been referred for the Tier Process to determine if the youth is eligible.
  • Contact relevant parties to obtain background information.
  • Follow established time frames for completing the Behavior Tool, submitting for approval, and notifying caregivers and Family Care Managers.
  • Schedule a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with the Family Care Manager and caregiver to review the results and recommendations of the Behavior Tool.
  • Ensure referrals are made for children after completion of the MDT within required time frames.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field and three years' experience.
  • Ability to successfully clear a Level II background screen.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and insurable by the agency's current insurance carrier.
  • Crisis Intervention training.
