About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Crimes Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a crucial role in mitigating risks associated with financial crimes and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough reviews of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and/or Fraud alert/case files to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Apply research and analytical techniques to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions regarding suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective risk management practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including BSA/OFAC/FinCEN.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or 4-8 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience reviewing and dispositioning manual and system-generated alerts/cases/files to mitigate risk associated with financial crimes.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crimes activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite products.
